Privacy & data use

Updated October 11, 2026. Operator: Evan Weber.

What you send

For a homeowner inquiry we collect your name, email, project ZIP, project type, description, timing and optional budget notes. For buyer interest we collect business name, website, work email, trades, service areas and desired capacity.

Owner review only

With your checked consent, Evan Weber stores the submission and receives a private owner notification by email so he can review and contact you about that inquiry. We do not sell these inquiries, send them to contractors or authorize marketing calls. Sending buyer interest does not open a purchasing account or enter a commercial agreement.

Storage and deletion

Submissions are stored in a private Cloudflare database accessible through the owner’s authenticated account. Active records expire after 30 days and are deleted by the daily cleanup, normally within a further day. Cloudflare may retain recovery copies under its own backup processes. Owner notification emails and any separate email conversations are not deleted by this database cleanup. The notification is a separate copy in the owner inbox. To request access, correction or deletion, email evan@experienceadvertising.com and mention ContractorsNow.

Protecting the forms

We use short-lived form sessions and temporary hashed network identifiers for rate limiting. Form sessions expire after 20 minutes; abuse-control records are removed by daily cleanup. The hosting provider also processes technical requests to deliver and protect the site. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page visits and loading performance without analytics cookies. This measurement does not include the fields you enter into our inquiry forms. We do not use advertising pixels or marketing cookies. When you submit, we store the source and campaign labels present in the page URL, if supplied. Our LocalContractorBids.com link records a referral-click event and optional campaign labels for up to 30 days, without transmitting your form fields. A click is not an accepted or paid affiliate conversion.

Future routes

A future contractor-sharing route will need separate consent explaining the recipient types and buyer limit. An affiliate handoff will be identified separately and governed by the destination’s privacy practices. We do not route the same inquiry through both paths automatically.
